The Catalinas

The Catalinas have been a fixture in the Carolina beach music scene for nearly 50 years. A horn-driven band that sounds a little bit like a lighter version of Chicago, the Catalinas were formed in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1957, and had regional hits with "You Haven't the Right" in 1967 and the beach music anthem "Summertime's Calling Me" in 1975.
Other tunes performed at their shows are from a diversified group of bands, including, some great medley's, e.g. Kool and the Gang, Earth Wind & Fire, Four Tops, Temptations, Spinners, and The Drifters, etc. plus some Bruno Mars! The Catalinas have one of the best performing bands on the circuit with their 3 lead vocalists, 3 horns, and excellent rhythm section.
